Sir Ken Robinson stresses the importance of creativity. He compares having a creative mind to being literate. He states in order to be a creative being you have to be prepared to be wrong in your thoughts. If a child cannot accept the fact of being wrong they will never develop a creative mind. Most children have very creative minds because they use their imagination to express their thoughts and ideas.
Sir Ken Robinson told the story of Gillian Lynn. Gillian couldn't sit still in the classroom and her teacher though she suffered from attention deficit disorder (ADD). That wasn't the case at all, many children like Gillian need another approach to education. Many children like her learn their math and reading through songs and dancing. I think educators should be more open minded to educating their students other than just using a text book approach.
